I always try to post a year in review. It's my way of documenting what I've actually accomplished for the year so I can (possibly) do better the next!
Here are some of the highlights from 2014...
Destined for Trouble, the first in a new mystery series, was published in September! It took me three years to finally come up with the perfect main character and concept! It even made Amazon's top bestseller (top 10) and hot new release lists!
I was asked to participate, for the second year in a row, at Fall for the Book. It is an amazing week long celebration of authors and I am always honored to be a part of it.
Authors, chefs, and more featured at Fall For The Book's Haute Cuisine at the Hylton event, Sept. 18 at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.
One thing that I hadn't planned on this year (or ever)...was getting a literary agent! I am extremely lucky to be represented by MacKenzie Fraser-Bub over at Trident Media Group.
Earlier this month I did my first ever school appearance! Thanks to family connections (my dad), I was invited to speak at Port Isabel High School in Texas. Even though I'm a Los Fresnos Falcon (just down the highway), I will wear my Tarpon t-shirt with pride :)
My visit was written up in their school's newsletter, posing with Dalton and Matthew!
That's it in a nutshell. It doesn't sound like much, but trust me, I was a pretty busy bee this past year. Right now, as I wrap up the rest of 2014, I am working on book 2 of my series, began writing book 1 in a new mystery series, and editing my YA series for a January promo. Plus, I will have some fabulous news to share in 2015.
Have a very merry holiday season and a Happy New Year!!!
